About

We plant memorial trees for Australian families.

A botanical memorial garden on the Mornington Peninsula. Over a thousand trees planted with the ashes of loved ones since 2020.

Our story

Our Mission

We started because cemeteries didn't match the lives they were meant to honour. So we worked with plant scientists to develop a treatment that turns cremated ash into something a tree can safely absorb.

In April 2020 we found a former golf course in Somerville and turned it into the gardens. Watching the first family plant together made it clear the model worked. We're part of Living Legacy, an Australian company rethinking what happens after a loss.

What we stand for

Our Values

Four ideas behind every tree we plant.

Growth

Every memorial here grows. The tree, the garden, and the family that returns to it.

Intention

A memorial planned with care, not chosen by default under pressure.

Stewardship

Trees are ours to look after, not the family's to maintain. Forever, at our cost.

Place

A garden that gets better each season. Quiet, easy to wander, and built to be returned to.

How we work

Our Approach

01

Design Your Legacy

Most families come to us before a loss. We walk the gardens with you, talk through options, and help shape what is left behind. Our Legacy Planners do not rush this part.

02

Care That Continues

When a loss has already happened, we handle the parts that feel impossible. Ash treatment, tree planting, ceremony, plaque. One team, one place, no chasing.

03

A Place to Return To

As the tree grows, so do the memories made around it. Families return for picnics, open days, planting events, and quiet visits. Their tree is theirs. The garden is for everyone.

Our Team

Bivek Inderjeeth

I lead the dynamic horticulturist and landscaping team here at Mornington Green and daily we immerse ourselves in trees, shrubs and flowers. I find peace when I am out in the gardens, whether it be to planning tree plantings or complete tree health assessments.
