About

We plant memorial trees for Australian families.

A botanical memorial garden on the Mornington Peninsula. Over a thousand trees planted with the ashes of loved ones since 2020.

Our story

Our Mission

We started because cemeteries didn't match the lives they were meant to honour. So we worked with plant scientists to develop a treatment that turns cremated ash into something a tree can safely absorb.

In April 2020 we found a former golf course in Somerville and turned it into the gardens. Watching the first family plant together made it clear the model worked. We're part of Living Legacy, an Australian company rethinking what happens after a loss.

What we stand for

Our Values

Four ideas behind every tree we plant.

Growth

Every memorial here grows. The tree, the garden, and the family that returns to it.

Intention

A memorial planned with care, not chosen by default under pressure.

Stewardship

Trees are ours to look after, not the family's to maintain. Forever, at our cost.

Place

A garden that gets better each season. Quiet, easy to wander, and built to be returned to.

How we work

Our Approach

01

Design Your Legacy

Create a Living Legacy that reflects your life, values, and the memories you want to leave behind.

02

Care That Continues

From the moment you choose us, we're here to guide your family with care through every step of the journey.

A Place to Return To

More than a memorial, your Legacy Tree becomes a beautiful place where memories continue to grow.

Warren Roberts

After experiencing the healing power of nature through personal loss, I set out to create a different way for families to remember those they love. As Founder of Living Legacy and co-founder of Mornington Green Legacy Gardens, my vision is to transform grief into growth by creating beautiful living memorials that give back to both people and the planet. It is incredibly rewarding to see families find comfort, connection and hope beneath their Legacy Trees, knowing each one will continue growing for generations to come.
